An unusually large beautiful antique "matyo" silk embroidery, made in Hungary, though we found it in Prague. It's in good antique condition and will make a wonderful centerpiece for any room.
Unusual colours of pinks and purples. It's all skilfully hand-sewn on a black cotton ground. On the photos you can see both front and back (third photo shows the back) and as always with Matyo, the back is nearly as perfect - this is excellent needlework. The embroidery is silk on a black cotton ground.
It's a good, large size, 64 cm (a little over 25 inches) - this measurement is to the edge of the black cotton and does NOT include fringes.
It's in very good antique condition - the fringes are a bit tatty, as is usual with these older pieces. Please check on the photos.
This would make a stunning table centrepiece or could be used as a spectacular throw.
