Original Brown Westhead Moore Co. antique "Aesthetic Movement" ceramic tile with image of birds. Circa 1880.

Large size with approximate measurements:  20.2 cm x 20 cm (7.95 x 7.87 inches).

These Arts and Crafts tiles have become very collectible and this is a particularly nice example. We think was definitely painted by Pierre Mallet (we have a collection of his work, but this tile is a duplicate). He lived from 1836-1898, and was active in England c. 1870 onwards.
