This is an antique or vintage carved shell lamp. These were crafted in Italy (often Naples), from the late 19th century (Victorian) through the early-to-mid 20th century (Art Deco era).

This is a particularly nice example, with a good carving of Aphrodite driving in her chariot drawn by doves. It's in very nice condition and will display beautifully. It has an attractive stand with two candleholders.

Please note that there is no wiring on this piece and so it will need to be wired to be used as a working lamp.
