Vintage Czech oracle cards - surreal and witty
PLEASE NOTE: This is a newly found deck - not the one shown. The cards and booklet are the same, and complete and in good condition. But the box is very battered - more so than the one in the photo (these are quite thin tuck boxes and tend to get torn easily).
A wonderful deck by Vladimir Tesar. It dates from the 1967 - the time of the Prague Spring - and is based on the traditional Czech "fortune telling cards" structure. It's a great example of the Czech surrealist style of the time.
9.8 cm * 6 cm (approx. 2.5 inches * 4 inches).
The deck is used but in good condition and is complete with instructions. Please note that a few cards are bent, the price reflect this. The box is quite damaged though, as normal for a tuck-box of this age.
In very good condition and usable. Please see photos.
