Short description
A very appealing carved horn brooch of a moth. Hand-carved, detailed and translucent, this is of lovely quality. Because the moth's antenna are quite wide, it would be possible to have this piece put on to a chain to use alternatively as a pendant - we have seen this done.
It is French Art Nouveau and in the style of Georges Pierre and Elizabeth Bonte, who were both renowned for their carved horn jewellery, usually of insects or birds.
We sourced these from a UK collection.
