Tea and Coffee - special bag with creamy coffee coloured silk kimono

This is a "special" made with a vintage silk kimono. The silk reminded us of creamy coffee and so we just had to make some bags with this combination of fabric and image.

Based on the mid-19th century illustrations of J.J.Grandville, we take all these images from the original 1947 hand-coloured books so they have beautiful colouring and great detail. A gorgeous bag for anyone who loves flowers, plants and Victoriana at its best.

At approx 5.5 inches by almost 8 inches these are large enough to use for even the most over-sized cards - or they will comfortably hold jewellery, cosmetics or odd and ends. They are also lovely simply hung up for display. These bags also makes a stunning present when filled with your choice of small gifts.

The quality is exceptional. Printed individually (by us) in our new improved (from autumn 2007) technique. This bag is very vivid and luscious in colour and now fully dry-cleanable too. The print is absolutely fast and won’t fade. Beautifully made with vintage silk backing (this silk has a particularly nice texture, it's very good quality, thick but soft silk). Finished with Czech metallic braiding and matching stitching with metallic thread. Czech glass bead finials (we have these gorgeous, chunky beads made specially for us). Fully lined - of course.

The Flower bags can be used for your tarot cards, as a jewellery holder, a small cosmetics and “odd and ends” bag, or simply hung up for display.

Bag is approx 5.5 * 8 inches (14 * 21 cm). Backing is 100% silk in a choice of colours (see product options). Fully lined and with a secure double-drawstring cord finished with gorgeous Czech glass beads made specially for us.
