These bags are made from really old, wonderful "juban" kimono silk (jubans were used underneath an outer kimono). The silk is very soft and the colour and weave are just wonderful.
These bags have flowers or cranes in the pattern (please note that this pattern varies quite a lot over the piece, so your bag may look a little different). Like all our vintage fabrics, we have washed, conditioned, hung this silk outside and ironed it before use. Fully lined in vintage kimono silk in matching scarlet.
At approx 5.5 inches by almost 8 inches these are large enough to use for even the most over-sized cards. Fully lined, as all our drawstrings are. They also make great little storage bags and are lovely simply hung up for display.
